Report Reveals Misuse of EU Funds in Discriminatory Projects

A recent report by Bridge EU and eight civil society organizations uncovered that more than €1 billion in EU cohesion and structural funds were spent on projects that reinforced segregation, exclusion, or discrimination.

The projects involved segregated schooling, isolated housing schemes for marginalized groups, and inaccessible public services. The report calls on the European Commission to implement stronger compliance checks and inclusive budgeting guidelines for the next EU financial framework.
