Sixteen Turkish Institutions Among Global Top 500

A recent evaluation by a national academic performance laboratory has found that 16 Turkish institutions have placed within the global top 500 in at least one of the major international rankings. The study compiled data from 11 global ranking systems, assessing criteria such as research output, faculty credentials, scientific impact, and international outlook. Several universities were included in three or more rankings. For instance, one placed around 400th in one index, within the top 200 in another, and between 300–400 in a third. The findings emphasize growth in research quality and global campus profile, thanks to ongoing investments in R&D and international collaboration.
