Universities across East and Southeast Asia are making significant strides in sustainable development, according to the latest 2025 Impact Rankings published by Times Higher Education. This year’s rankings assess performance based on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering areas such as quality education, gender equality, and climate action.

The results reflect a marked improvement in the region’s contribution to global sustainability initiatives, highlighting how institutions here are integrating meaningful social and environmental impacts into teaching, research, and outreach.
